The Beam Bar
Sometimes, custom work creatively makes use of a space that would otherwise be useless. When a remodel in Wash Park resulted in the need for an additional support beam, a "niche" was created adjacent to a newly remodeled kitchen.
If not done tastefully, the niche could have easily looked forced and negatively impact the sophistication of the kitchen. We went to work on a design that would make lemonade out of lemons and turn something that was a negative into a positive.
Being so close to the kitchen, we decided that a bar would be a perfect use for the niche. The style that the client was shooting for was something more european so we installed white oak slats and drawer boxes for storage.
To complete the contemporary look, we built decorative cube storage above for bottle storage.
